Callistoe vincei

Another Callistoe portrait, this time in full and glorious technicolour (le gasp!) created with a rough ballpoint sketch and Photoshop. In this piece its general appearance was kind of inspired by a mix of badger and meerkat, especially the colouration, because like these modern species it shows adaptations to digging. I kind of think of it as being the sparassodont version of a badger, although this is probably a bit too speculative.

More sparassodont artwork coming soon - probably some different proboryhyaenid species, though.
